Biodynamic Agricultural Association ( BDAA) ( reg Charity
no 269036)
The BDAA exists to promote and foster the biodynamic
agricultural impulse founded by Rudolf Steiner as a result of his Spiritual
Scientific Research. Membership is open to everyone interested in learning
about, working with or supporting this unique form of organic

Trademark in the UK and is linked with a worldwide network of independent

Food grown biodynamic has consistently been shown to be among the highest in
nutritional value, flavour and keeping quality of any food on the market. The
rigorous standards maintained by Demeter symbol holders ensure that the
intrinsic value and life giving vitality present in the food is retained and
enhanced. Demeter produce comes to you without artificial fertilisers, added
chemicals or irradiation and genetically modified material is not permitted at
any stage during production or processing. Certification is
also available for : abattoirs, food processors, packers and retailers in order
to guarantee biodynamic produce throughout the food chain
Organic Farmers & Growers (OFandG) is an organic
certification body.
We carry out the inspection and licensing of organic
farming and food processing across the UK. "The practical organisation
for organic certification" Organic food is about more than just a
label. It is about methods of farming and food production which are kind to the
environment, concerned for animal welfare and thought to be healthier for
humans to eat. If you buy organic food (and other products) you are helping
to support a system which benefits you, the farmer or processor producing it,
the animals raised on farms and the countryside.
The Organic Food Federation
The Organic Food
Federation was established in 1986 and is one of the first UK certification
bodies to be officially approved. We certify in all areas of organic
food production and processing. One of our objectives is to ensure high
standards are maintained in all aspects of organic production We also
inspect and certify importers of third country products, retailers and
wholesalers. We have developed Aquaculture and Personal Care Standards and
will be introducing standards for other specialised products.
